For those of us managing food allergies, few things provoke as much anxiety while traveling as the uncertainty of finding safe food options in a new destination. It's not just about satisfying hunger; it's also about feeling included in the culinary experiences that others enjoy. Whether it's passing up on freshly baked cinnamon rolls, skipping unique cheeses, or abstaining from fruity cocktails, the experience can be isolating. Sometimes, the mere act of asking restaurant staff about allergen accommodations earns us dismissive eye rolls, further exacerbating our sense of exclusion. For some individuals, this struggle becomes a significant deterrent to travel.

My personal journey with food allergies began in November of 2021, when I started experiencing intense abdominal pain. Despite seeking help from multiple health care providers, the consensus was that stress was the likely culprit. I accepted this explanation for nearly two months, enduring the discomfort while juggling the demands of motherhood and a full-time job. Eventually, I reached a breaking point, realizing that I needed to find a solution to reclaim my quality of life. Determined to address my health concerns, I stumbled upon a nutritional muscle testing facility in my area, despite initial skepticism about its efficacy. To my surprise, the testing revealed that I had a gluten allergy—a revelation that initially seemed unthinkable given my love for gluten-rich foods.

Despite my initial disbelief, I embarked on a journey of adapting to life without gluten, implementing various strategies for managing my dietary needs while traveling. Since my diagnosis, I've explored a variety of destinations, from all-inclusive resorts to cruise ships, European destinations and many, many airports. Along the way, I've honed my skills in navigating the complexities of traveling with a food allergy. Now, I'm here to share my insights and expertise with you as you embark on planning your own unforgettable vacation. Our Reverse Immigration Trip to Oslo, Norway

Sabrina was a wealth of knowledge while assisting me to plan our trip to Oslo, Norway. Throughout the months of planning, she informed me of things I should know about international travel, and I shared my passion for genealogy, which was the purpose of our trip. I now have the travel bug, and I hope she has the genealogy bug.

This was my husband and my first trip to Europe, and during the trip acknowledged how important it was to have a travel agent assist with the planning from the beginning.

We will be traveling again very soon, and will be back to Sabrina for her expertise.
